Job description
- The candidate will be required to supervise workers and projects.
- The candidate will be required to review and approve all job proofs or samples.
- The candidate will be required to resolve work related problems.
- The candidate will be required to recommend personnel actions.
- The candidate will be required to ensure health and safety regulations are followed.
- The candidate will be required to provide technical and professional advice.
- The candidate will be required to look after the requisition materials and supplies.
- The candidate will be required to co-ordinate activities of staff.
- The candidate will be required to establish work schedules.
- The candidate will be required to ensure quality control.
- The candidate will be required to supervise workers.
- The candidate will be required to supervise printing machine operators.
- The candidate will be required to supervise printing press operators.
- The candidate will be required to supervise camera, platemaking and other pre-press occupations
- The candidate will be required to supervise photographic and film processors.
- The candidate will be required to have the ability to supervise around 16 to 20 people.
Requirements
- The candidate should have a College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
- The candidate should have an experience of at least 1 year to less than 2 years.
- The candidate should have excellent oral communication skills.
- The candidate should have interpersonal awareness.
- The work will involve a combination of sitting, standing and walking which the candidate should be comfortable with.
- The candidate should have effective interpersonal skills.
- The candidate should be able to manage tight deadlines.
- The candidate should be able to work under pressure.
- The candidate should be able to handle repetitive tasks.
- The candidate should be able to handle heavy loads.
- The work will be physically demanding and hence the candidate should be comfortable with it.
