Job Description
- The candidate must develop and implement Asset Performance Management strategies and plans.
- The candidate will be responsible for managing Asset Management data governance and performance reporting.
- The candidate will be responsible for optimizing, deploying, and sustaining the Preventive Maintenance (PM) program.
- The candidate must develop and sustain strategies, standards, and plans for managing generating station assets to meet power system and organizational objectives.
- The candidate must play a key role in the evolution and sustainment of the generating station asset management system, focusing on asset performance throughout its usable life.
- The candidate will be responsible for working closely with Engineering and external consultants to ensure compliance with EGBC Quality Management Guidelines and other regulatory requirements.
- The candidate will be responsible for supporting the optimization and sustainment of Preventive Maintenance (PM) and spare parts programs.
- The candidate will be responsible for supporting Asset Management Data Governance and Performance Reporting and serving as Professional of Record for Maintenance Standards and Maintenance Program documentation when required.
- The candidate must advance strategies and projects through collaboration with Engineering subject matter experts, Field Maintenance Engineers, Asset Managers, Project Managers, Asset Information Support, IT, and Operations teams, including responsibilities related to crane and below-the-hook lifting device compliance and spare parts strategy.
- The candidate will be responsible for leading cross-organizational coordination with Dam Safety, Telecom, NIA PCM, and other business groups to implement the Wildfire strategy.
- The candidate will support implementation of the Wildfire Strategy by developing vegetation strategies, conducting site risk assessments, managing structural protection contracts, and preparing fire safety and emergency action plans.
Job Requirements
- The candidate must have a minimum of ten (10) years of relevant and progressive engineering and asset management experience.
- The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering recognized by Canadian universities.
- The candidate must be registered or eligible to register as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC).
- The candidate must demonstrate strong relationship management, communication, and conflict management skills while working collaboratively with other departments to advance strategies or projects.
- The candidate must demonstrate a strong understanding of Maintenance Engineering, Reliability Engineering, and Asset Management fundamentals.
- The candidate must have familiarity with hydro generation equipment.
- The candidate must have strong skills in MS Office tools, including MS Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint.
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Generation Stations maintenance programs and spare parts processes.
- Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate field experience working in Generation Stations.
- The candidate will be preferred if they have experience in risk-based and value-based business planning.
- The candidate must show strong attention to detail and the ability to think strategically.
- Preference will be given to candidates with excellent organizational and management skills.
- Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated leadership skills.
- The candidate must maintain good standing with Engineers & Geoscientists BC (EGBC) and hold a valid Class 5 driver’s license as a condition of continuous employment.
