Job Description
- The candidate must inspect, lubricate, refuel, and clean equipment.
- The candidate must be able to operate various vehicles and equipment.
- The candidate must notify the supervisor of any malfunctions.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in English language.
- There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
- The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
- The candidate must have an AZ class license, a Class 3/3F/DF license (trailer truck, vehicles with more than 3 axles), a DZ class license, and an Air Brake (Z) endorsement.
- The candidate must be able to lift weights of up to 9 kg (20 lbs), 13.5 kg (30 lbs), 23 kg (50 lbs), 45 kg (100 lbs), and more than 45 kg (100 lbs).
- The candidate should have effective interpersonal skills.
- The candidate must be flexible.
- The candidate must be capable of acting on their own initiative.
- The candidate should be a good team player.
Work site environment
- The candidate must be able to work in cold/refrigerated conditions.
Work setting
- The candidate will be required to work in various locations.
Experience and specialization
Truck or equipment experience
- The candidate must have prior experience operating a salt truck, snow transportation truck and snowplough.
