Job Description

  • The candidate must be responsible for the fit, execution, and approval of high-complexity styles from concept through production readiness.
  • The candidate must lead and mentor others during fittings to clearly communicate fit and prototype changes to cross-functional partners.
  • The candidate must efficiently communicate style measurements, construction details, and product context to vendors and sample room teams.
  • The candidate must support the team in prioritizing daily workflow activities aligned with GTM deliverables and development timelines.
  • The candidate will collaborate with Product Development teams to identify and reduce risks related to high-attention styles.
  • The candidate must utilize lab test and wear test results to adjust construction and reduce the risk of product failure.
  • The candidate must maintain style data integrity and accuracy within Flex PLM and other relevant systems.
  • The candidate must enter and update technical trims within the BoM, ensuring accuracy before approval and communicating updates with Product Development partners.
  • The candidate must create and maintain fit and construction standards and protocols across product categories.
  • The candidate must educate the team on advanced technical knowledge, industry standards, and brand fit and construction standards.
  • The candidate must collaborate with internal and external resources, including Labs and vendor co-creation partners, to support innovation opportunities outside GTM gates.
  • The candidate must ensure construction and fit consistency across product categories in alignment with brand guidelines.
  • The candidate will be responsible for leading fit education initiatives through presentations and training activities for cross-functional teams.
  • The candidate will be responsible for evaluating garments to confirm measurement accuracy and construction compliance.
  • The candidate must present and support the team in proto changes, challenges, and solutions during GTM meetings.
  • The candidate must build strategies alongside the Manager to drive competencies within the product creation process.
  • The candidate must mentor and train team members.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate will be required to have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field or comparable professional experience.
  • The role prefers candidates with specialized training or relevant experience in Technical Design, Pattern Making, or Product Development.
  • The candidate must have a minimum of 8 years of industry experience, preferably within Technical Design and/or Technical Development departments.
  • The candidate must be proficient in MS Office applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook, as well as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • The candidate must be proficient with Flex PLM or similar product lifecycle management software.
  • The candidate will be required to demonstrate experience using Gerber, CLO, Browzwear, or related apparel software tools.
  • The candidate must have experience working directly with Pattern Engineers, both internally and overseas.
  • The candidate will be responsible for supporting team growth through coaching, mentoring, and training activities.
  • The candidate will demonstrate strong interest and motivation in technical product development activities.
  • The candidate must be self-motivated, collaborative, and demonstrate a strong sense of urgency.
  • The candidate must possess strong attention to detail, organizational skills, initiative, and effective verbal and written communication abilities.
  • The candidate must have the ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities effectively.
  • The candidate will be required to demonstrate expertise in woven, knit, and engineered knit fabrications and related construction methods.
  • The candidate must be skilled in technical communication with vendors using pattern diagrams and fit photos.
  • The candidate must possess expert knowledge of grading.
  • The candidate must possess strong applied understanding of the end-to-end product life cycle.
  • The candidate must engage and educate cross-functional peers and leadership during fittings and product presentations.
  • The candidate must work efficiently while collaborating with multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • The candidate must possess excellent time management and proactive problem-solving skills.
  • The candidate must demonstrate curiosity for change and learning while effectively managing ambiguity.

Work conditions and physical capabilities
