Job Description
- The candidate will be responsible for collaborating with tax technology and compliance teams to address regulatory requirements, reporting needs, and system gaps for the development of systems-based solutions.
- The candidate will be responsible for monitoring the regulatory landscape for developing VAT legislation and conducting internal impact studies to assess readiness and implementation.
- The candidate will be responsible for preparing tax technical memos and documenting tax requirements for all business projects.
- The candidate will be responsible for providing tax compliance requirements for all new market entry activities and global expansion initiatives.
- The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the business is well-informed of the impact of new tax law changes and strategic initiatives while ensuring tax requirements are clearly understood.
- The candidate will be responsible for reviewing legal contracts from an indirect tax lens to ensure legal agreements are optimized to reduce risk and unintended tax-related costs.
- The candidate will be responsible for supporting tax compliance with tax positions, including matters under audit and controversy.
Job Requirements
- The candidate must hold professional certification in Finance or a related field, with preference given to specialization in Indirect Tax.
- The candidate must have in-depth knowledge of indirect tax regulations, including VAT, GST, and other related taxes within the EMEA region.
- The candidate must be able to analyse tax strategies to optimize the company’s tax position.
- The candidate should have strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities to effectively interpret and apply tax regulations.
- The candidate must have a minimum of five years of experience in indirect tax management, preferably within a multinational organization and/or public accounting firm.
- The candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders.
- The candidate must be able to adapt to changing tax regulations and business environments.
- The candidate must be meticulous and detail-oriented to ensure accuracy in all tax-related matters.
- The candidate must have strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with tax authorities and external advisors.
