Rides Carpentry Technician
Canada’s Wonderland has released a notification in which they’re inviting candidates for the post of Rides Carpentry Technician. To succeed, candidates must understand the duties and responsibilities and exert their best effort. They will assist in the installation of equipment and keep all work areas clean and tidy. They will perform preventative maintenance schedules on all designated rides. They will assist full-time ride maintenance carpenters in their duties. They will perform work within the carpentry shop and ride locations.

Job description
- Candidates will perform daily inspections of wood coasters and other rides.
- They will perform minor maintenance and repair as required.
- They will operate Drill Press and various hand tools.
- They will check all fasteners for tightness.
Job requirement
- Candidates must have job related experience or enrolled in a post-secondary related program (Grade 12 woodworking and above).
- They should have Farming and/or construction experience.
Work setting
- Candidates are available to work flexible shifts, on weekends and holidays.
- They are able to work effectively at heights and in varying weather conditions.
- They are able to work independently
- They must have a valid Ontario Driver’s license (class G/G2) and provide a driver’s abstract, if hired.
- They are able to wear personal protective equipment deemed necessary to perform this job safely (may include; gloves, mask and/or face shield, non-slip shoes etc).
