Job Description

  • The candidate will be responsible for monitoring patients and notifying the physician of any changes in their condition.
  • The candidate must address and document symptoms and changes in patients’ conditions.
  • The candidate must assess patients to identify appropriate nursing interventions.
  • The candidate must collaborate with members of an interdisciplinary health team to plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate patient care in consultation with patients and their families.
  • The candidate must deliver health education programs.
  • The candidate must dispense and administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician.
  • The candidate will be responsible for managing home care cases.
  • The candidate must provide consulting services regarding issues relevant to nursing practice and the nursing profession.
  • The candidate must be able to provide nursing care.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
  • The candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 3 to 5 years of experience in a related industry.
  • The candidate must be able to supervise 16 to 20 people.
  • The candidate must hold licensure as a Registered Nurse from the relevant provincial or territorial authorities.
  • The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
  • The candidate must be well-organized.
  • The candidate should be a good team player.
  • The candidate must have excellent time management skills.

Work setting

  • The candidate’s relocation costs should not be covered by the employer; if the company does not provide a relocation package, you may request an advance on your earnings to cover some of your moving expenses.
  • The candidate must work in home care and visiting care agencies, general offices, and retirement homes.
  • The candidate should work in a hospital or home for the aged; an aged care home, residential care, and nursing home all describe the same service.
  • The candidate should have a hospital/medical facility or clinic, a hospital, department, outpatient facility, or clinic whose primary purpose is sports medicine, rehabilitation, or wellness.
  • The candidate should work in a nursing home/home for the aged or people who don’t need to be in a hospital but can’t be cared for at home.
  • The candidate should work in a private residence, office, or work area only open to the public in the ordinary course of business, if by individual invitation.
