Job Description
- The candidate will be responsible for administering massage techniques through soft tissue manipulation, relaxation techniques, hydrotherapy, trigger point therapy, joint pain, and lower-grade mobilizations.
- The candidate must apply finger and hand pressure to specific points on the body.
- The candidate must assess clients by conducting a range of motion and muscle tests and propose appropriate treatment plans based on the assessment.
- The candidate must explain procedures, risks, and benefits to clients.
- The candidate must maintain records of treatments given.
- The candidate must massage and knead the muscles and soft tissues of the body.
- The candidate will be responsible for suggesting home care instructions and providing information about techniques.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
- The candidate must have a certificate or diploma in another trade.
- A candidate with experience is an asset.
- The candidate holds certification by a provincial or territorial association for massage therapists.
