Job Description

  • The candidate will be expected to supervise and inspect mechanical system installation.
  • The candidate must prepare plans for equipment installation and determine the necessary power requirements for operation.
  • The candidate will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of various components such as compressors, VFDs, cooling towers, evaporators, pipes, valves, and accumulators that supply various sections of the plant.
  • The candidate must analyse refrigeration cycle efficiency and constantly compare theoretical maximum versus practical maximum.
  • The candidate must prepare an estimate for the cost of constructing and installing the refrigeration system.
  • The candidate will be responsible for laying out pipes and controls.
  • If the equipment fails to function properly, the candidate will be required to diagnose and repair it.
  • When the installation is complete, the candidate will be responsible for performing a quality inspection and testing of the system.
  • The candidate will be expected to perform regular system service checks.
  • The candidate will be expected to provide functional and technical information to clients.
  • The candidate will be responsible for processing and completing work orders.
  • The candidate will be required to read and interpret blueprints and compliance schematics.
  • The candidate will be expected to observe and test newly installed systems.
  • The candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting refrigeration equipment failures.
  • The candidate must plan and recommend changes or additions to the existing circulating system in order to maximise plant efficiency.
  • The candidate must determine safety factors for equipment operation and design necessary cut-off or release valves.
  • The candidate will be in charge of the HVAC air conditioning equipment, pre-heat, re-heat, and catering cooling systems, as well as the associated automation.

  • The candidate should be bilingual.
  • The candidate should have minimum qualification of Other trades certificate or diploma
    or equivalent experience
  • The ideal candidate should have a minimum 7 months to less than 1 year of working experience in similar industry.
  • The candidate should have a thorough criminal record check.
