Job Description

  • The candidate will support facility, sport, and major event booking operations at the recreation centre.
  • The candidate will maintain facility logbooks and coordinate rental bookings for programs and events.
  • The candidate will handle basic accounting tasks including processing payments and balancing deposits.
  • The candidate will assist with inventory control and record management for recreation services.
  • The candidate will process program registrations and respond to public enquiries at the counter and by telephone.
  • The candidate will prepare correspondence, reports, promotional materials, and maintain operational statistics.
  • The candidate will support marketing and communication activities related to recreation programs and services.
  • The candidate will assist in maintaining accurate records, contracts, and facility-related documentation.
  • The candidate will provide strong customer service while interacting with the public and staff.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate must have completed Grade 12 or equivalent, including up to one year of post-secondary education in office administration, basic accounting, and/or graphic design.
  • The candidate must have at least one year of related experience supporting facility bookings for major events and sport.
  • The candidate must have strong organizational and time management skills.
  • The candidate must have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The candidate must demonstrate attention to detail in administrative and clerical work.
  • The candidate with an equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
