Job Description
- The candidate will be responsible for proactively pursuing the highest quality standards, on a consistent basis, for all lululemon athletica product.
- The candidate must ensure the highest quality for finished goods, process, and end-of-line quality testing.
- The candidate must work closely with all members of the Global Product Team.
- The candidate will automate, streamline, and enroll all team members in a comprehensive quality outcome without compromising lululemon’s design flare and time to market.
- The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end risk assessment of a product, DFMEA/STRA, including risk assessment of raw materials and product with design and product development throughout the life cycle of product development.
- The candidate will be responsible for VOP, continuously listening to voice of process to ensure improvements to in-season developments as well as educating on risks and learnings from a design for manufacturability point of view (DFM), completing the feedback loop.
- The candidate will be able to foresee and identify risks and provide solutions or mitigate risks from concept stage to final commercialization up until pre-production stage to deliver the right product.
- The candidate must collaborate across Product Quality Technicians to share and maximize best practices, establish new methods, and bring new execution methods and functional expertise to the quality team.
- The candidate will act as the owner of projects to create innovative and premium performance products.
- The candidate will be responsible for ownership of minimum performance standards and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), ensuring product testing and managing relevant trackers and reports for periodic reviews with the quality development manager and global quality.
- The candidate must be able to anticipate potential issues in bulk and problem solve for issues related to raw materials, trims, construction, and workmanship of a product.
- The candidate must provide quality risk assessments during all go-to-market gates.
- The candidate must be able to work with offshore vendors through emails, conference calls, teleconference meetings, and onsite visits to execute the design intent.
Job Requirements
- The candidate must have a Diploma in a garment industry related program or Industrial Engineering (textile specific).
- The candidate must have experience in implementing quality standards across all phases of the development lifecycle, including technical reviews, testing plans, and seasonal handoffs to LLOs.
- The candidate must have experience with quality management or process improvement standards such as DFMEA, AQL, ISO, ASTM/AATCC.
- The candidate must have minimum 5–7 years of experience in technical design, product development, garment production, and/or apparel industry quality control.
- The candidate must have knowledge of technical fabrics, garment construction, and related machinery.
- The candidate must have strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- The candidate must actively live and breathe the lululemon culture and lifestyle.
