Job Description

• The candidate must bag, box, or package purchases for customers for shipment or delivery.
• The candidate must carry customers’ purchases to the parking lot and pack orders into their vehicles.
• The candidate will be responsible for obtaining items from the stockroom or shelves for customers.
• The candidate must unpack products received from the store and count, weigh, or sort items.
• The candidate must maintain a computerized inventory of stock.
• The candidate will be responsible for recording incoming stock.
• The candidate will be responsible for stocking shelves and displaying areas.
• The candidate must maintain a clean and orderly stock.
• The candidate must price the items according to the price list using stickers or stamps.
• The candidate must attach protective devices to products to prevent shoplifting.
• The candidate must perform general cleaning duties (such as sweeping and mopping floors).
• The candidate must operate an electric pallet jack.
• The candidate must pick orders.
• The candidate must provide customer service.

Job Requirements

• The candidate should be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation or equivalent experience.
• The employer will provide training to the selected candidate.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• The candidate should be client-focused.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
• The candidate should be organized and flexible.
• The candidate should be reliable.
• The candidate should be a good team player.

Work site environment

• The candidate must be able to work in air-conditioned and cold/refrigerated environments.

Work setting

• The candidate must work in the produce department.
• The candidate should work in a supermarket/grocery store self-service shop offering a wide variety of food, beverages, and household products, organized into sections.
