Job Description

  • The candidate will be responsible for supporting the development and execution of category strategies in alignment with business and enterprise priorities.
  • The candidate will be responsible for providing market intelligence and value analytics to support sourcing strategies and category planning.
  • The candidate will be responsible for driving annual productivity improvements by optimizing total cost of ownership across assigned sub-categories.
  • The candidate will be responsible for improving sourcing efficiency by developing clear roadmaps for category and sourcing event prioritization.
  • The candidate will be responsible for building strong partnerships with business leaders to execute sourcing initiatives aligned to functional priorities.
  • The candidate will be responsible for supporting strategic sourcing events and supplier negotiations, with opportunities to lead over time.
  • The candidate will be responsible for analyzing spend and data sources to identify value opportunities and generate insights.
  • The candidate will be responsible for facilitating the contract management process and partnering with Legal to ensure accurate execution of agreements.
  • The candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining tools and processes used for strategic sourcing activities.

Job Requirements

  • Candidates are required to have completed a Bachelor’s degree.
  • The candidate with an MBA, SCMP, or equivalent designation will be preferred.
  • The candidate must have 5+ years of procurement experience.
  • The candidate must have 2+ years of experience in Facilities and Store Development categories.
  • The candidate must have excellent PC skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, with knowledge of P2P systems such as Coupa or Oracle considered an asset.
  • The candidate effectively builds partnerships by understanding stakeholder needs and expectations.
  • The candidate navigates complex issues, takes ownership through resolution, and provides guidance and support to team members.
  • The candidate will be responsible for developing and executing strategies across a range of categories.
  • The candidate demonstrates strong knowledge of market dynamics, commercial structures, cost drivers, and industry trends.
  • The candidate must be able to independently develop creative contracting and sourcing solutions using established category frameworks.
  • The candidate must validate assumptions and ensure sourcing strategies are practical and actionable.
  • The candidate must understand when and how to negotiate effectively.
  • The candidate will be expected to have experience leading negotiations that support organizational goals and adjusting approaches as needed.
  • The candidate will be responsible for leading complex projects and managing multiple deliverables concurrently.
  • The candidate must use appropriate tools and methods to monitor progress, manage risks, and communicate changes proactively.
  • The candidate must acknowledge the presence of choice in every moment and take personal responsibility for their actions and decisions.
