Job Description
- Commission Specialist is a permanent full time position supporting Group Retirement Services commission administration.
- The role manages advisor and broker commission records and payment processes.
- The position supports a fast paced and team focused work environment.
- The role includes commission reconciliation and policy maintenance activities.
- The position works closely with several internal business teams.
- The role helps keep commission payments accurate and completed on time.
Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver infrastructure related projects in line with business and technology
- Review advisor licensing requirements before processing commission payments.
- Maintain advisor commission records for Group Retirement Services policies.
- Process weekly, monthly and manual commission payments.
- Communicate daily with Business Development, Implementation, GRS Issue and Pricing teams.
- Conduct reconciliation reviews for first year and transfer commissions and prepare statements for top ups or chargebacks.
- Respond to commission related inquiries from internal business partners.
Requirements
- Be skilled in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Have strong mathematical skills and can review data carefully.
- Understanding of advisor and broker relationships is considered an asset.
- Show above average accuracy and strong performance.
- Have excellent written and verbal interaction skills.
- Be highly organized and adapt to a fast paced and changing work environment.
- Strong knowledge of GRS products, services and plan types is preferred.
- Have work background communicating with distribution partners.
