Job Description
- A mixed role combining retail counter service and mail processing tasks
- Temporary on call position with flexible shifts including evenings and weekends
- Work takes place in both customer facing and back end mail areas
- Involves handling transactions and supporting daily postal operations
- Includes physical tasks like standing and lifting mail items
- Based in Fernie, British Columbia with rotating duties
Responsibilities
- Perform sales and customer service activities to meet customer needs
- Operate a computer point of sale system
- Maintain floor displays and manage inventory
- Process financial transactions including cash, cheques and cards
- Receive, sort, sequence and batch mail items
- Operate mail processing equipment and clear jams
- Transport mail between areas using equipment
- Enter data into computer systems
- Check mail for correct address and postage
- Stand for long periods and handle heavy mail items
Requirements
- The candidate must have experience in customer service in a retail setting
- The candidate should have sales experience as it is considered an asset
- The candidate should have experience in a production environment as it is considered an asset
