Job Description

  • The candidate will be responsible for preparing, processing, and maintaining police files using the Police Records Information Management System (PRIME).
  • The candidate will manage a variety of records, reports, and related documentation, ensuring all information is accurate, complete, and properly maintained.
  • The candidate will provide information related to police file content to both internal staff and external stakeholders when required.
  • The candidate will perform detailed data entry and typing tasks with a high level of accuracy and efficiency.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate must have completion of Grade 12, including or supplemented by commercial and typing, U.C.R. scoring, and police computer databases and related courses, along with sound related experience, preferably in a Police environment, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • The candidate having RCMP volunteer experience would be considered an asset.
  • The candidate with previous experience using relevant software such as MS Word, Excel, PRIME, or CPIC, along with work experience in a municipal or public sector, will be considered an asset.
  • The candidate must demonstrate strong typing, data entry, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • The candidate must be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working efficiently under pressure.
