Job Description

The candidate must provide bedside and personal care.
The candidate must administer medications.
The candidate will be responsible for assisting clients with water (i.e. pool).
The candidate will be responsible for assisting clients with bathing and other personal hygiene activities.
The candidate must assist in regular exercise, such as walking.
The candidate must feed or assist in feeding.
The candidate must be able to mend clothing and linens.
The candidate must perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
The candidate must provide companionship.
The candidate must provide personal care.
The candidate must prepare and serve healthy meals.

Job Requirements

The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years, or equivalent experience.
The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
The candidate must have a CPR Certificate, First Aid Certificate and Personal Support Worker Certificate.
The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
The candidate must be flexible.
The candidate must have patience.

The work environment is smoke-free.

Work setting

The candidate’s relocation costs should not be covered by the employer; if the company does not provide a relocation package, you may request an advance on your earnings to cover some of your moving expenses.
The candidate should be willing to relocate and be ready to move to a new city/different city for a job.
