Job Description
- The candidate must calculate and prepare cheques for payroll.
- The candidate must prepare statements of earnings for employees, indicating gross and net salaries and deductions such as taxes, union dues, garnishments, and insurance and pension plans.
- The candidate will be responsible for storing, updating, and retrieving financial data.
- The candidate will be responsible for performing clerical duties such as maintaining filing systems.
- The candidate must perform human resources–related duties such as personnel selection.
- The candidate will be responsible for preparing and balancing period-end reports, as well as reconciling issued payroll with bank statements.
- The candidate will be responsible for preparing monthly statements.
- The candidate must complete and submit documents for the administration of benefits such as pension plans, leave, share savings, employment, and medical insurance.
- The candidate will be responsible for informing employees about payroll matters and benefit plans.
- The candidate must compile statistics and reports.
- The candidate will be responsible for maintaining payroll.
- The candidate will be responsible for maintaining records of employee attendance, leave, and overtime to calculate pay and benefits entitlements, either manually or using computerized systems.
- The candidate must prepare T4 statements and other statements.
- The candidate must perform data entry.
- The candidate must prepare payroll.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
- The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program lasting three months to less than a year.
- The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
