Job Description
- The candidate will be responsible for organizing and prioritizing daily tasks for assigned product categories.
- The candidate will be responsible for creating complete patterns and cutters must (legend) that support the desired design aesthetic, fit, and construction.
- The candidate will identify, adjust, and correct fit issues that require pattern corrections.
- The candidate will effectively communicate and advise the technical team and cross-functional partners on pattern construction.
- The candidate will be responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams to monitor and maintain fit and construction standards to ensure brand consistency.
- The candidate will collaborate with factories as needed to ensure the accurate use of pattern development.
- The candidate must be able to cut and sew muslins for both live fittings and fittings on the form.
- The candidate must be able to perform garment fittings on a live model.
- The candidate will be responsible for participating in fitting sessions to assist Technical Developers in maintaining consistent fit.
- The candidate must possess strong analytical thinking along with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Job Requirements
- The candidate must hold a Patternmaking Degree.
- The candidate must have a minimum of 5 to 8 years of industry experience in pattern making, with experience in performance or similar categories preferred, including development through production experience.
- The candidate must have a strong understanding of fit, balance, garment construction, and fabric reaction.
- The candidate must possess strong technical knowledge of performance products and fit, including materials, fabric, construction, and body movement.
- The candidate must be a strong team player who can collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
- The candidate must understand product creation calendar timelines and be able to work against deadlines.
- The candidate must be proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook), Adobe Illustrator, PLM software, and Gerber Pattern Making.
- The candidate should have experience using 3D software such as CLO or Browzwear, which is considered an asset.
- The candidate should have experience working in the plus size market, which is considered an asset.
- The candidate must have traveled to and worked with manufacturers across Asia, the Americas, and Europe.
