Job description
- Candidates will provide general groundskeeper and grounds maintenance services.
- They will perform minor repair and maintenance to buildings or utilities.
- They will provide garbage collection, general facility maintenance or sanitation.
- Candidates will operate and repair a variety of heavy and light powered equipment like tractors with attachments, riding lawn mowers, chain saws and hand tools.
- They will carry out facility inspections for security/damage.
- Candidates will promote compliance with park rules and regulations.
- They provide information and direction to staff and colleagues.
Job requirement
- Candidates must have a valid class ‘G’ driver’s license as recognized by the Province of Ontario.
- They must have the ability to obtain a valid CPR and Emergency First Aid certificate.
- They have the ability to obtain an Ontario Boating license.
- They also must have the ability to work shifts, weekends and statutory holidays as per schedule.
Work setting
- Candidates must have the knowledge of operating standards for the maintenance as well as sanitation of general building facilities.
- They must be knowledgeable of the operation and maintenance of powered equipment.
