Job Description
- The candidate must prepare, clean, and sand surfaces for painting.
- The candidate must repair cracks and holes.
- The candidate must mix paint to achieve the desired colour and texture.
- The candidate must measure, cut, and install wallpaper and other wall-covering fabrics.
- The candidate will be responsible for advising customers on colours and the choice of wall coverings.
- The candidate must erect scaffolding and swing stages and attach rigging.
- The candidate must apply paint, wallpaper, and other materials and finishes to both interior and external surfaces.
- The candidate must estimate costs and materials.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
- The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
- The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related industry.
- The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
- The candidate should be client-focused.
- The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
- The candidate must be flexible.
- The candidate should be a good team player.
Work setting
- The candidate must work in various locations to support employees stationed at different worksites.
Experience and specialization
Equipment and machinery experience
- The candidate must have experience operating airless spray equipment, brush painting tools, patterned rollers, and roller painting equipment.
Surface preparation experience
- The candidate must have surface preparation experience, including drywall taping and patching.
