Job Description

  • The candidate must assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents.
  • The candidate must perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
  • The candidate must wash, iron, and press clothing and household linens.
  • The candidate must bathe, dress, and feed infants and children.
  • The candidate must discipline children using the methods specified by the parents.
  • The candidate will be responsible for instructing children in personal hygiene and social development.
  • The candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and healthy environment in the home.
  • The candidate will be responsible for organizing activities for children, such as games and outings.
  • The candidate must prepare and serve healthy meals.
  • The candidate will be responsible for supervising and caring for children.
  • The candidate will be responsible for transporting children to and from school and appointments.
  • The candidate will be responsible for the emotional well-being of children.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
  • The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related industry.

Work setting

  • The candidate should work in optional accommodation, an adjustment to a job or work environment that makes it possible for an individual with a disability to perform their job duties.
  • The candidate should work in staff accommodation that offers live-in accommodation when an employer provides a housing offer to its employees.
  • The employee should be able to work in the employer’s or client’s home and can work at various site locations. The specific period of progression is determined by the annual review.
  • The candidate’s relocation costs should be covered by the employer, allowing the employer to contribute to the employee’s relocation costs incurred in moving closer to the company’s offices or other work locations as required.
