Job Description

  • The candidate must estimate the costs of installing equipment.
  • The candidate must oversee the preparation of sales and orders.
  • The candidate must promote sales to existing clients.
  • The candidate must read blueprints to determine dimensions of structures or systems and material requirements.
  • The candidate must identify and solicit potential clients.
  • The candidate must assess clients’ needs and resources to recommend the appropriate goods or services.
  • The candidate must develop reports and proposals to illustrate the benefits of the use of goods or services.
  • The candidate must conduct sales transactions.
  • The candidate must prepare and administer sales contracts.
  • The candidate must estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties, and delivery dates.
  • The candidate must provide input into product design where goods or services must be tailored to suit the client’s needs.
  • The candidate must consult with clients after the sale to provide ongoing support.
  • The candidate must reach out to clients after the sale or signed contracts to provide ongoing support.
  • The candidate must resolve product- and service-related problems.
  • The candidate must troubleshoot problems related to equipment.
  • The candidate must advertise and/or promote products, sales, or services.
  • The candidate must provide customer service.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
  • The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years.
  • The ideal candidate must have 5+ years of experience in a related industry.
  • The candidate must have no supervision responsibilities.
  • The candidate should be client-focused.
  • The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
  • The candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • The candidate should be organized and flexible.
  • The candidate should be reliable.
  • The candidate should be a good team player.

Computer and technology knowledge

  • The candidate must be knowledgeable about Electronic mail, spreadsheets, MS Excel, MS Office, MS Outlook, and MS Word.

Sales experience

  • The candidate must have sales experience in industrial machinery and equipment.
