Job Description
- The candidate will be responsible for leading a team of Pattern Engineers in developing initial patterns from design and technical development through to production-ready stages.
- The candidate will be responsible for assigning styles and managing team workload to ensure deliverables and expectations are achieved in partnership with the TD Manager.
- The candidate will provide guidance on pattern engineering techniques, tools, and best practices to strengthen team skills and capabilities.
- The candidate will mentor and develop team members while promoting a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- The candidate will oversee the refinement and adaptation of patterns based on fit sessions, designer feedback, and technical requirements.
- The candidate will establish and maintain pattern and block libraries, technical specifications, and quality standards to ensure consistency and excellence in pattern development.
- The candidate will stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and advancements in pattern making techniques to improve product development processes.
- The candidate will lead business initiatives in partnership with the TD Manager to ensure the perfect fit is achieved.
- The candidate will build a working calendar aligned with the development calendar and out-of-season concepts while managing team workloads to meet business deliverables.
Job Requirements
- The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or possess equivalent professional experience.
- The candidate with training in Technical Design, Pattern Making, Product Development, or related experience will be preferred.
- The candidate must have a minimum of 8+ years of experience in pattern engineering or technical development within the fashion industry, preferably with women’s product experience.
- The candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of people leadership or mentorship experience.
- The candidate should have industry experience in pattern making, preferably from development through production stages.
- The candidate must be proficient in MS Office applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook, along with Adobe Design Suite such as Illustrator and Photoshop.
- The candidate must be proficient in Flex PLM or similar PLM software.
- The candidate must be an expert in CAD software including Gerber, Lectra, and Optitex, along with other pattern making tools.
- The candidate must have proficiency in 3D software including Browzwear and CLO.
- The candidate must acknowledge the presence of choice in every moment and take personal responsibility for their actions and decisions.
