The Barrel, located in Fort Erie, ON L2A 1M7. The company is currently looking for applications for the role of Maintenance person – building. We are seeking a self-disciplined individual with exceptional interpersonal skills. The chosen applicant will be required to join and begin their duties as soon as possible. The open positions are for Permanent employment or full-time jobs. The candidate must be available to work early morning, morning, day, evening, night, and weekend shifts, as well as overtime.

Job Description

• The candidate must sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs.
• The candidate must be able to use industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris, and other waste.
• The candidate must clean windows, interior walls, and ceilings.
• The candidate must make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for significant repairs.
• The candidate must contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment.
• The candidate will be responsible for performing minor repairs to appliances.
• The candidate must move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies.
• The candidate must perform other routine maintenance tasks, such as painting and drywall repair.
• The candidate must clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures.

Job Requirements

• The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).

• The candidate should work in an urban area with a high population density.
• The candidate should work in restaurants that are generally fast-paced and require the utmost efficiency.
