Job Description
- Candidates working at this post are required to have a good mechanical and electrical background and must pass a UPS building technician assessment.
- They’re also appointed to work in a fast-paced environment that requires routine interaction with other hub employees.
- They are appointed at this post to inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and/or replace mechanical components such as motors, reducers, drive chains, sprockets, sheaves, and pulleys.
- They’re also required at this post to handle the inspection, troubleshooting, repairing, or replacing hydraulic equipment such as hoses, fittings, cylinders, and pumps.
- Applicants are appointed at this post for welding equipment such as handrails, conveyor supports, package handling equipment, carts, and grating as defined by the scope of work.
Job requirement
- They must attain prior millwright Journeyman and must have a valid BC Driver’s License to be eligible for this post.
- They must own essential tools and equipment and must have safety shoes to be eligible for this post.
- Applicants must attain prior experience in industrial building maintenance along all UPS building technicians are required to wear UPS-provided uniforms during work hours at this post.
