Job Description
- Candidates working at this post are appointed to start their day in the depot, sorting and preparing the day’s deliveries.
- They’re also appointed to load and drive a Canada Post postal vehicle to be eligible for this post.
- They’re appointed at this post to return to the depot to unload the day’s incoming mail and packages for later delivery working at this post.
Job requirement
- They must have a valid Class 5 or Class G driver’s license with a safe driving record for at least 3 years to be eligible for this post.
- They must attain the physical ability to lift mail items weighing up to 22.7 kg and carry items weighing up to 15.9 kg regularly throughout the day to be eligible for this post.
- They must attain the ability to work in all types of weather to be eligible for this post.
- They must ensure the availability to be on-call and attain the ability to read, write and speak English and French to be eligible for this post.
Work setting
- They must have dedicated experience in customer service and acquire dedicated experience making deliveries or working as a driver to be eligible for this post.
- A dedicated character certificate is also required to be eligible for this post.
