Job Description
- Applicants who applied for this post are required to develop conceptual and detailed designs for park projects working at this post.
- They’re also required to lead, collaborate with and support the project team working at this post.
- Candidates are also accountable for managing multiple internal and external stakeholders, consultants and contracts simultaneously in the delivery of park projects working at this post.
- People who apply for this post are also accountable for obtaining and analyzing site information such as GIS, survey, arborist, environmental, geotechnical, and archaeologicall assessments working this post.
- Applicants who applied for this post are required to develop and implement communication strategies and open houses with stakeholders, First Nations, and the public working at this post.
Job requirement
- Candidates must have to be highly proficient in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite to be eligible for this post.
- They must attain a Degree in Landscape Architecture or a related field.
- Applicants must have Five years of related experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience to be preferred for this post.
- Candidates must have completed membership or eligibility to register as a Registered Landscape Architect with the British Columbia Society of Landscape Architects.
- They must have a valid BC Class 5 Driver’s license to be considered as an asset for this post.
Work setting
- Applicants must have completed working closely with the City’s Park Development Services, Planning and Engineering teams to bring the projects to reality to be eligible for this post.
