Job Description
- Candidates working in this post are appointed to conduct preventative maintenance inspections of all types of trucks, and highway construction.
- Applicants working at this post are also required for maintenance equipment with services performed in the shop and the field.
- Applicants at this post are appointed to diagnose equipment problems using mechanical, electrical, and computerized test equipment working at this post.
- Candidates working in this post are required to determine the method of repair and the cost or time associated with the repair.
- Candidates at this post are also required to repair equipment including mechanical, fuel, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems by replacing, fabricating, or revising parts and components working at this post.
- Applicants working at this post perform equipment maintenance such as fluid/filter changes at this post.
- Applicants for this post are also required to replace brakes, exhaust systems, hydraulic hoses, etc working this post.

Job requirement
- They must have a valid Journeyperson Certificate recognized by the Province of Saskatchewan in some specific traits like Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic, Truck and Transport Mechanic, and Agricultural Machinery Technician working at this post.
- They must have a valid Class 3 Driver’s license or have the ability to upgrade to one within the probationary period to get preferred for this post.
