Engage Analyst

Engage Analyst supports public engagement projects that help The City of Calgary connect with residents and improve City services. The role includes planning engagement activities, collecting project information and helping teams improve the tools and processes used for engagement.

This position works with Engage Planners on larger projects and also leads smaller engagement initiatives from start to finish. You will review engagement data, recommend process improvements and support the day to day operation of the Engage portal.

Job Description

  • Engage Analyst supports public engagement projects and helps improve engagement tools and processes.
  • This is a full time position with 1 permanent opening and 2 temporary openings of up to 12 months.
  • The role may include flexible work from home arrangements based on operational needs.
  • The position offers competitive hourly pay and follows a standard 35 hour work week.
  • The work takes place in an office environment with some travel for meetings and events.
  • You will support engagement planning, data reporting and service improvements across the business unit.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and carry out engagement activities for complex projects.
  • Lead engagement plans for smaller projects.
  • Collect, review and report engagement data.
  • Recommend improvements to documents and work processes.
  • Support the operation of the Engage portal.
  • Work with vendors and staff to resolve technical issues.
  • Provide guidance to staff on using the Engage portal and related tools.

Requirements

  • Complete a 2 year diploma in Communications, Public Engagement, Public Relations, Social Sciences, Planning, Public Policy or a related discipline with at least 6 years of related work background, or complete a degree in one of these fields with at least 4 years of related work background.
  • Work background in public engagement or partner engagement is preferred.
  • Have excellent interaction skills, problem solving skills and strong organizational skills.
  • Provide proof of qualifications before employment.
