Job Description

Intelligent City initiatives

  • The candidate will support and execute the City’s intelligent city strategy, framework, and initiatives.
  • The candidate will develop a framework to recommend priority areas and identify the greatest return on investment.
  • The candidate will develop business cases to secure funding for key initiatives.
  • The candidate will work with internal and external experts to identify and solve challenges.

Customer Experience management

  • The candidate will research, support, and execute the corporate Customer Relationship Management (CRM) program, analyze system usage, ensure compliance with standards, identify public challenges, and develop solutions.
  • The candidate will research, support, and implement technological solutions to improve service delivery for internal and external customers.
  • The candidate will oversee and administer the corporate Services Database, maintain inventories of public and internal services, and promote its use with a focus on mobile access.
  • The candidate will promote and educate internal clients on Customer Service principles and standards.

Community partnerships

  • The candidate will support and implement strategies to identify and promote partnership opportunities with businesses, academic institutions, government agencies, and industry partners to improve service delivery, address challenges, and support policy discussions.
  • The candidate will develop performance measures that align with strategic objectives and demonstrate progress.
  • The candidate will prepare performance reports to keep the community informed about organizational progress.
  • The candidate will identify and pursue grant and award opportunities that support organizational goals.

Open Data

  • The candidate will support and educate the community on the City’s open data strategy.
  • The candidate will engage the technology sector to encourage the use of City data to address community challenges and support policy discussions.
  • The candidate will promote the value and use of the City’s open data offerings to help solve community challenges.

Business Process Improvement

  • The candidate will lead initiatives with internal clients to improve business processes.
  • The candidate will apply appropriate techniques for business process reviews, including information models, stakeholder needs analysis, root cause analysis, process mapping, and SWOT analysis.
  • The candidate will research best practices, facilitate workshops, and synthesize results.
  • The candidate must prepare recommendations for internal clients.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate must hold a degree in Business or a related field, along with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • The candidate must have knowledge and practical experience in developing strategy documents, measuring key results, business process evaluation, stakeholder needs analysis, information models, logic models, root cause analysis, SWOT analysis, process mapping, performance management, public sector reference models, and multi-channel service delivery.
  • The candidate must have a strong understanding of city services and operations.
  • The candidate must be able to identify and address barriers effectively.
  • The candidate must be able to identify and take advantage of opportunities that support successful change initiatives.
  • The candidate must be able to identify, assess, and manage risks effectively.
  • The candidate must be able to build and maintain positive working relationships with peers, clients, and team members.
  • The candidate must be able to motivate, educate, and train others effectively.
  • The candidate must be able to learn from experience and apply innovative approaches to their work.
  • The candidate must be able to evaluate situations from a broad organizational perspective.
