HR Representative

HR Representative is basically a full-time temporary opportunity with the City of Toronto. This role is best suited for people who’ve had exposure to human resources and administration, but also to occupational health and safety, disability management, and general employee support.

You will be giving administrative and operational support to HR professionals while you help with HR programs, employee wellness initiatives and learning management activities, kind of the day to day plus the behind-the-scenes work.

Job Description

  • Help coordinate training sessions for employees and also support learning management activities.
  • Create reports, presentations, spreadsheets and other HR documentation.
  • Keep employee records, confidential files and HR databases organized and up to date.
  • Provide admin support for HR projects, and for daily operations as well.
  • Communicate with employees, managers, unions, and external stakeholders , when needed.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for gathering, summarizing, and analyzing HR, health, safety, and disability management data, sort of all together when needed.
  • Administer the Toronto Public Service training calendar, then coordinate training sessions as they come up.
  • Check, update, and retrieve HR related information using different systems ,and I keep it consistent.
  • Additionally, I support processing vendor invoices, plus other purchasing documents.

Requirements

  • A solid amount of administrative experience, supporting HR professionals in a busy, fast paced kind of setting
  • Experience putting together reports, spreadsheets , presentations, and general correspondence
  • Familiarity with Human Resources, WSIB , Disability Management and Occupational Health & Safety practices, in general.
