Job Description

  • The candidate must evaluate daily operations.
  • The candidate must plan and organize daily operations.
  • The candidate must plan and prepare work schedules.
  • The candidate must select and employ trade subcontractors and coordinate their activities.
  • The candidate must inspect subcontractors’ work to ensure quality and conformity with plans and specifications.
  • The candidate must develop and implement marketing, advertising, and sales strategies.
  • The candidate must perform various trade work during home construction or renovation activities.
  • The candidate must recruit, hire, and supervise staff and/or volunteers.
  • The candidate must develop and implement business plans.
  • The candidate must prepare estimates and bids for home construction, renovation, and restoration projects.
  • The candidate must work with customers, architects, and engineers regarding plans and specifications.
  • The candidate must prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers and trade contractors.
  • The candidate must plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
  • The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related industry.
  • The candidate must be able to supervise 3 to 4 people.
  • The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).

Work setting

  • The candidate must work in various locations to support employees stationed at different worksites.
  • The candidate should focus on repair work, which involves restoring damaged, deteriorated, or broken items to good condition.
  • The candidate should be able to work in the installation process to describe large-scale, mixed-media constructions, which are frequently designed for a specific location or for a temporary period.
  • The candidate should work in construction trades and crafts, including bricklaying, stonemasonry, carpentry, joinery, demolition, electrical work, painting and decorating, plumbing, scaffolding, steeple jacking, and wall and floor work.
