Job Description
- The candidate must inspect, lubricate, refuel, and clean equipment.
- The candidate must be able to operate a variety of vehicles and equipment.
- The candidate must notify the supervisor of any malfunctions.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in English language.
- The candidate should have minimum qualification of Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related industry.
- The candidate must have an AZ class license, a Class 1/1F/A license (semi trailer trucks), a Class 3/3F/DF license (trailer truck, vehicles with more than 3 axles), and a DZ class license.
- The candidate must be able to handle weight up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
- The candidate should have effective interpersonal skills.
- The candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- The candidate must be flexible.
- The candidate must be capable of acting on their own initiative.
- The candidate should be a good team player.
Work site environment
- The candidate must be able to work in cold/refrigerated, hot and wet/damp conditions.
- The candidate must be willing to work in hazardous conditions.
- The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
- The candidate must work in an environment with a high concentration of odours.
Experience and specialization
Truck or equipment experience
- The candidate must have prior experience operating a road sweeper, salt truck, sanding truck, snow transportation truck, and snowplough.
