Job Description
- Candidates working in this post are appointed to assist with airfield maintenance duties and checks.
- They’re also appointed to implement a planned service, maintenance and repair program for all mobile equipment and stationary power units at Airports in the South Slave Region.
- Candidates are also appointed to utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System to track inventory and work orders.
- Candidates working at this post are appointed to assist with performing and reporting runway condition reports, daily physical inspections, and pre-flight checks as required
- Candidates working in this post are also appointed to assist with airport maintenance as required such as snow removal, ice control, FOD control, etc.
Job requirement
- Candidates must have Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Mechanic Certification with Interprovincial Red Seal to be eligible for this post.
- They must have 5 years experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic with 2 years directly related work experience post Journeyperson certification to be eligible for this post.
- They must have a valid Class 3 Driver’s License with air-to-operate equipment and a full set of mechanic hand tools of proven quality to be eligible for this post.
