Job description

  • The candidate will be required to take patients’ blood pressure.
  • The candidate will be required to take patients’ temperature.
  • The candidate will be required to groom patients.
  • The candidate will be required to weigh the patient.
  • The candidate will be required to take patients’ pulse.
  • The candidate will be required to bathe the patient.
  • The candidate will be required to dress the patient.
  • The candidate will be required to lift the patient.
  • The candidate will be required to turn and position patients.
  • The candidate will be required to administer first aid in emergency situations to the patient.
  • The Work Setting is a nursing home or a home for the aged.

Requirements

  • The candidate should have a trades certificate or diploma.
  • The candidate should have a First Aid Certificate.
  • The candidate should have a CPR Certificate.
  • The candidate should have a Health Care Aide Certificate.
  • The candidate does not require any experience for the job.
  • The candidate should have their Immunization records.
  • The candidate should have their Tuberculosis test done.
  • The candidate should have their Criminal record checked.
  • The candidate should have Basic security clearance.
  • The candidate should have Adult Abuse Registry check done.
  • The candidate should have excellent oral communication skills.
  • The candidate should have interpersonal awareness.
  • The work will involve a combination of sitting, standing and walking which the candidate should be comfortable with.
  • The candidate should be able to work under pressure.
  • The work will be physically demanding and hence the candidate should be comfortable with it.
  • The work will involve a combination of bending, crouching and kneeling which the candidate should be comfortable with.
