Job Description

• The candidate must bag, box, or parcel purchases for customers for shipment or delivery.
• The candidate will be responsible for obtaining items from the stockroom or shelves for customers.
• The candidate must direct customers to the location of the desired articles.
• The candidate must unpack products received from the store and count, weigh, or sort items.
• The candidate must maintain a computerized stock inventory.
• The candidate will be responsible for recording incoming stock.
• The candidate will be responsible for stocking shelves and displaying areas.
• The candidate must maintain a clean and orderly stock.
• The candidate must price the items according to the price list using stickers or stamps.
• The candidate must attach protective devices to products to prevent shoplifting.
• The candidate must perform general cleaning duties (such as sweeping and mopping floors).
• The candidate will be responsible for processing electronic transactions using computer equipment.
• The candidate must be able to operate a cash register.
• The candidate must pick orders.
• The candidate must provide excellent customer service.

Job Requirements

• The candidate should be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related industry.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
• The candidate should be client-focused.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate should be organized and flexible.
• The candidate should be reliable.
• The candidate should be a good team player.

Work site environment

•  The candidate must work in air-conditioned and cold/refrigerated environments.

Work setting

• The candidate’s relocation costs should be covered by the employer, allowing the employer to contribute to the employee’s relocation costs incurred in moving closer to the company’s offices or other work locations as required.
• The candidate should be willing to relocate and be ready to move to a new city/different city for a job.
• The candidate must work in settings with non-perishable goods, handling items like canned foods, dry goods, cleaning supplies, and packaged products that do not spoil quickly or require refrigeration.
• The candidate should work in a supermarket/grocery store self-service shop offering a wide variety of food, beverages, and household products, organized into sections.
