Job Description

The candidate will be expected to supervise nursery and greenhouse workers.
The candidate will be required to resolve work related problems.
The candidate will be required to requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies.
The candidate will be expected to plan and direct the planting of trees, gardens, and lawns.
The candidate would be responsible for establishing work schedules and procedures.
The candidate will be expected to plan, manage, and supervise landscape construction work.
The candidate will be expected to plan and estimate labour and materials.
The candidate would be responsible for maintaining work records and logs.
The candidate will be expected to help with the recruitment and training of new employees.
The candidate will be required to maintain quality control and production records.
The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all employees follow health and safety regulations.
The candidate will be required to ensure that farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed.

Job Requirements

The candidate should be fluent in English language.
There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
The ideal candidate should have a minimum 1 to 2 years of working experience in similar industry.
The candidate should have excellent oral and written communication.
The candidate must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
The candidate should be punctual.
The candidate should be organized and flexible in nature.
The candidate should be accountable.
The candidate should be authentic.

Equipment and Machinery Experience

The candidate should have prior experience operating a forklift.

Area of Specialization

The candidate should have experience working in a nursery or greenhouse.

Work Site Environment

The candidate will be required to work in wet or damp, dusty and hot or cold environments.
Work places are completely smoke free.

Transportation/Travel Information

For transportation, the candidate should use their own vehicle.
