Job Description

Job Requirements

• The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
• The candidate must be able to handle weights up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs) and 23 kg (50 lbs).
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate should be organized and flexible.

• The candidate should be reliable.

• The candidate should give importance to values and ethics.

Work site environment

• Farm operations include beef cattle ranching and farming, including feedlots, oilseed (except soybean) farming, other grain farming, and wheat farming.
• The candidate must work in a dusty and dirty environment.
• The candidate must be able to work in all weather conditions.

Work setting

• The candidate should work in staff accommodation that offers live-in accommodation when an employer provides a housing offer to its employees.
• The candidate should work in a rural area; most people live or work on farms or ranches. Hamlets, villages, towns, and other small settlements are in or surrounded by rural areas.
• The candidate should be willing to relocate and be ready to move to a new city/different city for a job.

Experience and specialization

Type of crops

• The type of crops are grains and canola.

Equipment and machinery experience

• The candidate must have experience operating a farm truck, forklift, tractor, combine harvester, planting equipment, seed drill, sprayer or duster, swather, tillage equipment, skidsteer, and hand tools.

• The candidate must have a valid driver’s licence.
• The candidate must have their own transportation.
