Job Description
- The candidate will assist with load-ins and load-outs for performances, events, and facility rentals.
- The candidate will set up, operate, and dismantle lighting, audio, staging, projection, and rigging equipment.
- The candidate will hang, focus, and adjust lighting fixtures as required for productions and events.
- The candidate will support live events and troubleshoot technical issues as they arise.
- The candidate will assist with scenic setup and installation, including stage elements and production materials.
- The candidate will safely operate theatrical systems, including counterweight fly systems and rigging equipment.
- The candidate will provide front-line support to artists, performers, clients, staff, and patrons.
- The candidate will help keep technical equipment organized, maintained, and stored appropriately.
- The candidate will follow safety procedures, identify hazards, and contribute to a safe working environment.
Job Requirements
- The candidate must demonstrate working knowledge of theatrical lighting, audio, staging, and basic rigging systems.
- The candidate must possess experience supporting live performances, events, or venue operations.
- The candidate must demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills.
- The candidate must demonstrate a professional and helpful approach when working with performers, clients, and members of the public.
- The candidate must demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and the ability to respond quickly during live events.
- The candidate must demonstrate a strong commitment to safe work practices.
- The candidate must demonstrate working knowledge of the ETC Eos Lighting Console.
- The candidate must demonstrate working knowledge of the DiGiCo Sound Console.
- The candidate will be required to hold valid Occupational First Aid Level 1 certification.
- The candidate will be required to maintain current Aerial Platform or Fall Arrest Certification.
- The candidate must possess a valid Class 5 British Columbia Driverโs Licence.
- The candidate with Actsafe Live Performance Electrical Certification (LPEC) is preferred.
- The candidate with BC FE (Full Entertainment) or LE (Limited Entertainment) Certification is preferred.
- The candidate with valid Aerial Platform and/or Fall Arrest Certification is preferred.

Work conditions and physical capabilities
- The candidate must be able to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 50 lbs and working at heights.
- The candidate will be required to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and hours aligned with event operations.
- The candidate must be able to perform active and physically demanding work while moving between backstage, front-of-house, and event areas as required.
