Job Description

The candidate must apply fertilizers.
The candidate must apply the technique of hoeing between the rows.
The candidate must clean the crops.
The candidate will be responsible for clearing fields of wood and stone.
The candidate will be responsible for dividing freshly harvested produce into marketable and non-marketable lots.
The candidate will be responsible for grading vegetables and fruits into different grades according to the size, shape, colour and volume to fetch a high price in the market.
The candidate must perform greenhouse cleaning.
The candidate will be responsible for guiding growing shoots into optimal development positions.
The candidate must harvest vegetables by hand.
The candidate must mix the fertilizer.
The candidate must monitor water lines, air flow, and temperature in barns.
The candidate must pack fruits and vegetables.
The candidate must pick row and orchard crops.
The candidate must plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops.
The candidate must manually remove all suckers and water sprouts.
The candidate must sort fruits and vegetables.
The candidate must tie and secure plants.
The candidate will be responsible for training trees to produce more fruit of higher quality.
The candidate must perform the weeding.
The candidate must clean the work area.
The candidate will be responsible for fertilizing and spraying crops.
The candidate must harvest crops.
The candidate must load, unload, and transfer crates, supplies, farm produce, livestock, and poultry.
The candidate must operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.

The candidate must examine the product’s quality and readiness for the market.

The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
The employer will provide training to the selected candidate.
The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).

Work site environment

Farm operations include fruit and vegetable combination farming, hay farming, other miscellaneous animal farming, other miscellaneous crop farming, and other vegetables and melon farming (except potato).
The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
The candidate must be able to work at heights.
The candidate must work in wet/damp, dusty, hot, cold/refrigerated, and dirty environments.
The candidate must work in an environment with a high concentration of odours.
The candidate must work in all weather conditions.
