Job Description

• The candidate will be required to consult with the deceased’s family about funeral and related services.
• The candidate will be expected to notify survivors of their benefits.
• The candidate will be expected to publish death notices in newspapers.
• The candidate will be responsible for coordinating burials and cremations.
• The candidate will be required to complete legal documentation.
• The candidate will be required to prepare accounts.
• The candidate will be required to pre-arrange funerals.
• The candidate must arrange for the transfer of remains from the place of death to the funeral home.

Job Requirements

• The candidate should be fluent in English or French languages.
• The candidate must have a College/CEGEP diploma.
• Candidate having experience is an asset.
• The candidate must have a Funeral Director Licence as well as a valid driver’s licence.
• The candidate must be able to lift more than 45 kg (100 lbs).
• The candidate should be accurate.
• The candidate should be dependable.
• The candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills.
• The candidate should be organised and flexible in nature.
• The candidate should have good judgemental skills.
• The candidate should be reliable.

• The candidate must have proof of immunisation.
