Job Description

• The candidate will be responsible for operating electric Powered Industrial Trucks, including Order Pickers, Reach Trucks, Rider Jacks, and Sit Down Fork Lifts, to transport merchandise and materials throughout the warehouse/distribution center.
• The candidate will be responsible for operating machinery to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, and move products, equipment, and materials throughout the work area while picking, pulling, and stacking boxes of merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds onto pallets attached to a lifting device during the production schedule.
• The candidate will be responsible for completing daily equipment inspections to ensure safe and proper operation.
• The candidate will be assigned to a primary department but may be required to support various areas of the distribution center, including value added services, receiving, returns, damages, picking, packing, transfers, shipping, inventory movement, Forklift Driving tasks, and general department duties based on business needs.
• The candidate may be assigned to a new department according to operational and business requirements.
• The candidate will be responsible for performing additional duties and projects assigned by leadership, including non-driving tasks within the warehouse.
• The candidate must clearly understand the expectations and legal requirements of all safety policies within the DC and maintain a safe work environment through the company safety program and lean mentality.
• The candidate will be responsible for performing all job duties in accordance with DC Guidelines and company policies.
• The candidate will be responsible for keeping the warehouse clean and organized at all times.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must have at least 6 months of Order Picker (Cherry Picker) experience.
• The candidate should be familiar with Reach Truck and Forklift operations, which would be considered an asset.
• The candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain Forklift Certification.
• The candidate must be capable of adapting to third party technologies, including RF scanners, voice picking systems, and new operational systems.
• The candidate must possess excellent counting skills and maintain strong attention to detail.
• The candidate must have the ability to meet attendance requirements consistently.
• The candidate must have the ability to maintain a safe work environment.
• The candidate must be flexible and adaptable to work schedules that may include nights, weekends, required holidays, after-hours duties, and overtime.
• The candidate must be able to understand, speak, and read English with sufficient proficiency to follow safety policies, workplace instructions, and training requirements. Bilingual applicants are encouraged to apply.
