Job description

  • Candidates will prepare and assemble a wide variety of food.
  • They are responsible for doing complete meals, restricted diets, salads as well as beverages in a large institution
  • They will oversee proper handling as well as timely production and service of meals.
  • They will ensure proper storage, preparation, as well as portion control standards.
  • They will maintain proper sanitary conditions in the kitchen area.

Job requirement

  • Candidates must have knowledge of volume cooking or baking methods.
  • They must have the ability to prepare and assemble a high volume of meals.
  • They must have knowledge of various diets.
  • They must have knowledge of food safety practices.

Work setting

  • Candidates must have a Cook’s certificate issued by the appropriate Ministry.
  • They must have acceptable equivalent knowledge or experience in volume cooking.
  • They must have a valid Food Handler Certificate.
