Job Description

The candidate must be of legal age to mix and serve alcoholic beverages.
The candidate will be responsible for addressing customer complaints or concerns.
The candidate must prepare and serve specialty food at customers’ tables.
The candidate must present bills to customers and accept payment in cash, credit or debit cards, travellers’ cheques, or room billings.
The candidate must describe menu items, including daily specials, to customers in a clear, concise, and informative manner.
The candidate will be responsible for enforcing provincial/territorial liquor laws and regulations.
The candidate will be responsible for advising on menu selection and recommendations.
The candidate must balance cash and keep sales records.
The candidate must clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs.
The candidate must describe and advise on wine selection.
The candidate must greet customers, present menus, make recommendations, and answer questions about food and beverages.
The candidate will be responsible for ordering and maintaining an inventory of wines and wine glassware.
The candidate will be responsible for performing sensory evaluations on wines.
The candidate must be able to serve food and beverages.
The candidate will be responsible for taking orders and relaying them to the kitchen and bar staff.
The candidate must assist clients/guests with special needs.
The candidate must provide excellent customer service.

Job Requirements

The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
The employer will provide training to the selected candidate.
The candidate has no supervision responsibilities.
The candidate must have a ProServe program Certification.
The candidate should be client-focused.

The candidate’s relocation costs should be covered by the employer, allowing the employer to contribute to the employee’s relocation costs incurred in moving closer to the company’s offices or other work locations as required.
