Job requirement

• Candidates at this post must be team-oriented providing leadership to our flight crews while being a brand ambassador of WestJet’s corporate values.   
• They must attain the ability to follow standard operating procedures and ensure the safety of our crew and guests.   
• Candidates for this post must have a valid Transport Canada Group 1 Instrument Rating and a valid Transport Canada Class 1 Medical Certificate to be eligible for this post. 
• They must have a dedicated Transport Canada commercial pilot licence along with a Transport Canada airline transport pilot licence to be eligible for this post. 
• They must have a completion of either the IATRA or the SAMRA and SARON and are legally entitled to work in Canada to get preferred for this post. 
• They must attain the ability to work within a dynamic team environment and communicate effectively. 
• Candidates for this post must be flexible and adaptable to respond to the changing demands of the operation and business. 
• Candidates must be professional and committed to upholding WestJet values to be preferred for this post.

Work setting 

• Candidates for this post must acquire all required visas or travel documents allowing them to freely travel unrestricted to get preferred for this post. 
• Candidates eligible for this post must have a clear police background and criminal record check to be eligible for this post. 
• They’re appointed at this post to offer employment conditional on passing a pre-employment alcohol and drug screening test to be eligible for this post.
