Job Description

  • This role of a Financial Planner requires taking care of popular clients and providing advice in the areas of banking, credit, and investing.
  • Full-time position, 37.5 hours per week, located in Creston (address: 1008 Canyon St, Creston, British Columbia), under the Personal & Commercial Banking platform.
  • Delivers financial reviews and planning services on an ongoing basis to assist clients in attaining their long-term objectives using Royal Bank of Canada’s wide-ranging product suite.
  • Gains and keeps client trust, extending and enlarging the customer group through value-based relationship management practices and meeting performance targets as well.
  • Leverages relationships with local market contacts and service partners to maximize referral and business opportunities.
  • Works in a team that is cooperative and performs well, with access to Royal Bank of Canada resources and a structure that supports both personal and professional development.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize Royal Bank of Canada’s full range of investment, credit, and banking solutions to offer customized financial planning advice aimed at assisting clients in achieving their objectives.
  • Manage the portfolio not only by growing it but also by maintaining it with good relationship management based on values and by performance targets’ accomplishment.
  • Create professional ties with service partners and a local market.

Requirements

  • Financial Planning certification: PFP®, QAFP™, or CFP®.
  • Mutual Funds registration (IFIC or CSC).
    At least 3 years of financial planning history.
  • Exceptional financial skill with successfully demonstrated ability to network, acquire, and manage relationships.
  • Proven ability to establish a market presence and develop COI and partner relationships.
  • Willingness and ability to travel throughout the market when necessary.
