Job Description

The candidate will be responsible for grading vegetables and fruits into different grades according to the size, shape, colour and volume to fetch a high price in the market.
The candidate must pack fruits and vegetables.
The candidate must pick row and orchard crops.
The candidate must plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops.
The candidate must shear and shape trees and plants using a knife.
The candidate must tie and secure plants.
The candidate will be responsible for training trees to produce more fruit of higher quality.
The candidate must write daily basic progress reports.
The candidate must clean the work area.
The candidate will be responsible for fertilizing and applying pesticides to crops as needed.
The candidate must harvest crops.
The candidate must load, unload, and transfer crates, supplies, farm produce, livestock, and poultry.
The candidate must operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
The candidate must assess the product’s quality and market readiness.

Job Requirements

The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
The employer will provide training to the selected candidate.
The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
The candidate should be reliable.
The candidate should be a good team player.

The type of farm operation is a combination of fruit and vegetable farming.
The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
The candidate must be able to work in wet/damp, dusty, hot, cold/refrigerated and dirty environments.
