Job Description
- The candidate will be in charge of calving.
- The candidate will be expected to plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops.
- The candidate will be in charge of weaning.
- The candidate will be in charge of harvesting crops.
- The candidate will be expected to feed and care for animals.
- The candidate must operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
- The candidate will have to milk cows.
- The candidate must clean stables, barns, barnyards, and pens.
- The candidate will be expected to inspect the product for quality and prepare it for market.
- The candidate will be required to write basic progress reports on a daily basis.
- The candidate will be required to install and monitor water lines, air flow, and temperature in barns, pens, and chicken coops.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in English language.
- There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
- Training will be provided to the selected candidate.
Work Site Environment
- Farm operations include corn farming, hay farming, livestock combination farming, and other miscellaneous animal farming.
Work Setting
- The candidate will be required to work in the dairy industry.
Experience and Specialization
Equipment and Machinery Experience
- The candidate must have prior experience with a farm truck, forage equipment, haying equipment, manure spreader, tillage equipment, and tractor.
Automated Systems Experience
- The candidate must have prior experience with automated bulk grain or feed handling, milking system (automated), manure handling and storage, feeding and watering system, and storage and silage system.
