Job Description
- The candidate will be responsible for diagnosing livestock health issues.
- The candidate must be able to handle animals.
- The candidate must monitor animal health.
- The candidate must organize tasks to complete the work.
- The candidate will be responsible for treating livestock health issues.
- The candidate must assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and biosecurity procedures.
- The candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers.
- The candidate must ensure that farm safety and biosecurity procedures are followed.
- The candidate must perform general farm duties.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
- There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
- A candidate with experience is an asset.
- The candidate must be able to supervise 1 to 2 people.
- The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
- The candidate must be well-organized.
- The candidate should be a good team player.
Work site environment
- Farm operations include beef cattle ranching (including feedlots), hay farming, other grain farming, grain, oil, and forage crop production, and livestock farming.
- The candidate must work in a dusty environment.
- The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
- The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
- The candidate must work in all weather conditions.
Work setting
- The candidate should work in a rural area; most people live or work on farms or ranches. Hamlets, villages, towns, and other small settlements are in or surrounded by rural areas.
- The candidate should be willing to relocate and be ready to move to a new city/different city for a job.

- The type of heavy equipment operated includes a loader, a backhoe excavator, and a front-end loader.
Equipment and machinery experience
- The candidate must have experience in operating a tractor, forklift, and skidsteer.
